Los Poblanos is honored to host Voyce Durling-Jones Sensei for an afternoon to experience the interconnected matrix and critical importance of honeybees. She is the founder of The Hoshindo Society of the Americas and its primary initiative, THE BEE CORPS.
Voyce Sensei is a Bee Ecologist and organic Keeper of Bees. Hoshin Bee Ecology is the study, observation and working process with honeybees and their evolution within the hive body, the eco-system, the cosmos and with humans. The spiritual feminine principles enfolded within the ancient matrix of Hoshin Ecology hold a sublime concept of the oneness of all consciousness.
The mission of THE BEE CORPS is accomplished by creating more public awareness of the essential contributions of honeybees and other pollinators to our planetary bio system, with the understanding that “Art and Nature resonate with a profound and organic consistency”. She invites us all to join in this endeavor to address the global pesticide crisis, now threatening bees, humans, the waters, earth organisms and all life on our blue planet. We can begin by absorbing THE BEE CORPS BIOSPHERE PRINCIPLES into our hearts and minds.
THE BEE CORPS integrates Organic Apiculture, Science, the Arts and Organic Agriculture in order to provide more knowledge about the honeybee's invaluable contribution as the primary planetary pollinator; its medicines and superfoods; its cultural and sacred history; and its success in the integrative east asian medicinal art of Hoshindo.
Voyce Sensei is the only teacher of Hoshindo outside of Japan and has followed the Way of the Bee for 24 years. She was trained in Japan and is the sole foreigner to have been certified to practice Hoshin in Japan. Before leaving Japan she was given the task of bringing the Hoshindo tradition to the West by Tadako Sensei, her Hoshindo DaiShihan. Later, as a Lineage Holder, Voyce Sensei established the Hoshindo Healing Arts Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The institute is the center for Hoshin in the Americas, Canada and Europe.
Voyce Durling-Jones served as the Hon. Consul of the Republic of Liberia. She has been a keynote speaker and guest lecturer to international organizations and conferences including King's College, London, U.K.; The International Bar Association, Melbourne, Australia; The Toronto Post Aboriginal Conference, Vancouver, Canada; and The World Parliament of Religions, Seoul, Korea; New Delhi, India; and Chicago, Illinois.
