During our lavender harvest season, join us to learn about capturing lavender essential oil through steam distillation. After an in-depth class on lavender distillation and Q&A with our farmers, attendees will make their own special lavender gift to take home. Class will conclude with a glass of cold lavender lemonade!
Experience the process of alembic copper distillation. The essence of lavender is extracted using steam to liberate the oils. The essential oil rises to the top where it is drawn off. The distillate water, also known as hydrosol flows from the bottom of the separator where only the water has dropped. Our lavender fields are managed using sustainable, non-pesticide, non-herbicide agricultural and organic practices.
Please meet in the Reception office upon arrival. A member of our team will be there to greet you and guide you to the class. When you come down the main driveway, make your first right into the Inn parking lot. Reception is located just north of the parking lot.
