It’s lavender season and we’re obsessed with our favorite plant!
Friday Night, 6pm - 7pm: During this evening introduction, we will smell, taste and touch many different kinds of lavender from around the world. This is the perfect first class for those interested in learning more about the special healing properties of this herb. Inn Guests attending the class will be able to participate in a special scent and sound session, for that extra relaxation before heading off to a luxurious night at the Inn.
Saturday: 10am - 4pm: Start the morning with a sound meditation in the lavender fields. This Sound Healing Session will be led by Aimee Conlee, and will include breathing, light stretching and relaxation techniques involving sound. Following the meditation, enjoy a guided walk through our fields, led by aromatherapist Christa Obuchowski. Class continues with an in-depth discussion about the botany of lavender, and it’s long history as a healing plant.
Break for a leisurely picnic lunch served under the shade of the cottonwood trees, and take some time to relax and smell the lavender in the air. Class resumes in the afternoon with tips and tricks for using lavender in your home and as a wellness aid. Learn how to make a cooling mist, bath soak and other therapeutic lavender compositions.
