Ana Eugenia is named after Annie's great grandmother who came to America from Norway around the turn of the century. Annie Hinkes grew up surrounded by native crafts and traditional folk art in New Mexico. She spent most of her childhood making art objects and continued the practice through college where she received her BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from The University of Oregon. She works out of her small studio in Portland, Oregon.
